Nettersheim Archaeological Landscape Park

The Archaeological Landscape Park, opened in May, has exposed the Roman settlement of Nettersheim.Matriachal sacred monuments, houses, trade and public buildings, in addition to fortresses, view and resting areas in the middle of a beautiful landscape offer an open view of the constructions that stretch along the Cologne-Trier Roman Road- the Agrippastraße.

The 4 Kilometre long round route with adventure stages connects the Eifel Nature Centre as the starting point of the Roman Canal Hiking Trail with the Archaeological Landscape Park. The park is integrated in “Roman Road Adventure Area”.

Experience archaeology

In the archaeological experience programmes for families, activity programmes for school classes and groups, guided hikes, excursions or also culinary treats, offer the chance to actively discover the past with expert accompaniment. Archaeology to touch and feel, in digs where excavations are carried out by professionals.

Relax like the Romans

There are three guestrooms in Roman style in the historical working houses of Nettersheim. Living and sleeping there makes you want to go on discovery tours in the Roman era even more.

By request food made as in Roman days and workshops are on offer in the taverns.
